Home-Based Family Centered Casework

The family caseworker is responsible for collaborating with families to assist them in coordinating, maintaining or acquiring their basic needs of food, housing, employment, budgeting, social skills and community networks in order to allow for improved family functioning as a whole and within the community.  Case work services are designed to preserve the family unit by helping clients with conflict resolution, problem solving, age-appropriate discipline, domestic violence awareness, setting boundaries, communication, linking to community services and more. They initially conduct assessments, formulate treatment plans, provide transportation, supervise visits, connect individuals to community resources, job placement, obtaining/maintaining housing, advocating, and crisis intervention.
