Resource Family Services

Resource Family Support services is a program aimed at training, supporting, caring, advocating, and linking foster parents, approved parents, approved relatives or approved non-relative, or extended family with resources they need to provide and maintain children in a safe environment. The program is to provide a child with a feeling of safety, permanence, and well-being wherever the child is placed. Our role is to work diligently to preserve, support, and stabilize foster family home placements, and to promote the well-being of children, youth, and families. Such support or skills can include:

  1. Home visits.
  2. Coordination of services.
  3. Conflict management.
  4. Emergency/crisis services
  5. Child development education
  6. Developmental/behavioral effects of trauma education
  7. Parenting education/training
  8. Parent training with children present
  9. Monitor progress of parenting skills
  10. Family communication
  11. Foster family support
  12. Community service information
  13. Community referrals and follow-up
  14. Develop structure/time management
  15. Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) support.
